The beautiful Shangri-La Resort Golf Club, located at the tip of Monkey Island in the center of northeast Oklahoma's Grand Lake O' the Cherokees, is currently accepting applications for a Line Cook to join our team. What You'll Do
As a Line Cook, you will:
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with consistency and quality
- Follow standardized recipes and proper cooking techniques
- Assist with basic butchery, stock, and sauce preparation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Ensure all food is properly stored, labeled, and dated
- Communicate effectively with the Sous Chef and kitchen team
- Help ensure the kitchen is fully prepped and ready for service
- Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of cooking experience (or equivalent training)
- Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety, and cooking methods
- Basic understanding of butchery, stocks, and sauces
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
