JOB DESCRIPTION
Working at a high-end restaurant, the busser assists the servers and kitchen staff to deliver the ultimate dining experience to all members and guests.
REPORTS TO
Restaurant Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bussers are to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled shift.
- Bussers are to arrive in full uniform. Any busser who is not in proper or full uniform will be sent home.
- Pour water for guests as soon as they are seated and refill all beverages as needed.
- Set tables for lunch and dinner. Clear tables after members and guests leave and fully reset tables.
- Everyone is expected to work together to make the member and guest dining experience exceptional. Consequently, bussers will often times help other servers, bussers, and runners.
- Polish silverware and stemware.
- Weave the room checking each table for any drinks to be refilled, manicuring the table, etc.
- Bussers must have the ability to carry stemware, silverware and dishes on a tray.
- Bussers are usually seen but not heard; however, when contact is made with members and guests bussers are to address members and guests professionally and courteously at all times.
- Bussers are responsible for completing all opening and closing duties. These duties should be completed as a team.
- Check the schedule daily for any changes.
- Any problems with co-workers are to be reported to and discussed with management only.
- Management is to be notified immediately of any member or guest problems or concerns.
- Members and guests are always to be walked to the restroom or any other area.
- Check with a manager or supervisor before leaving.
QUALIFICATIONSSKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Related experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to maintain professional status through interface with customers, management, and co-workers.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including but not limited to extended hours, irregular shifts, evenings, holidays, and/or weekends.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand and walk for extended periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift more than 25lbs. Physical stamina and a proper mental attitude to work under pressure at a fast pace are essential. Must have the mental fortitude to handle the pressures of multiple tasks while providing excellent guest service.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The duties of this position are primarily performed in indoor climate conditions.
