Shango is looking for Sales Representatives who are strategic, driven, and ready to take our product portfolio to new heights. While representing Boutiq’s line of innovative products, you’ll be a master negotiator, relationship builder, and problem solver, thriving in a fast-paced sales environment. Sales representative would be responsible for establishing and growing a recreational market client list in the Springfield, MO area.
The sales representative will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Often tasked with giving sales presentations, cold calls, and meeting with purchasing manager, it’s essential that our sales rep be personable, professional and highly motivated.

Objectives of this Role
- Represent Shango while selling Boutiq Cannabis products, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding of the product lines and customer needs
- Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics
- Generate leads and build relationships planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales clients
- Develop and implement territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field
- Drive revenue growth by managing and expanding a diverse portfolio of retail accounts.
- Build strong relationships with buyers, owners, and budtenders through regular field visits.
- Develop and execute creative sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
- Handle administrative tasks like order processing, inventory checks, and sales reporting.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless account coverage and growth.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Daily visits to shops in all of Springfield and surrounding areas
- Calling and Emailing customers daily
- Create working relationships with new clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities
- Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered
- Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling
- Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product demos and presentations
- Coordinate with sales management to ensure company quotas and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring
- Gather orders and process them
- Work with production and distribution team with respect to orders
Skills and Qualifications
- Must be 21 or older
- 3-5 years of proven sales success, ideally in cannabis or related industries.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with sales management software
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to foster long-term partnerships.
- Ability to analyze data to refine strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable to diverse partner needs.
- Basic marketing knowledge and a network in the cannabis industry (a plus).
- Personal integrity
- Must have own form of transportation
- Must be willing to be on the road often to meet with prospective or current clients
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven success in a sales or promotional role
