Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside the maintenance team.
- Handle daily repairs, troubleshooting, and emergency maintenance.
- Oversee preventive maintenance for guest rooms and hotel facilities.
- Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and building systems.
- Assign daily work, manage work orders, and inspect completed work.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire, health, safety, and building codes.
- Manage tools, equipment, supplies, and the Engineering budget.
- Train and support team members while maintaining hotel standards.
- Partner with other departments to ensure a safe and comfortable guest experience.
- 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience, preferably in a Chief Engineer or Supervisor role.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of building systems and maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead a small team and work independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade training preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Trade certification, Marriott experience, and bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
