Job Summary
Job Summary
Substitute Teacher: Grades TK-6: SVA Teachers are responsible for implementing the educational programs for all students while personalizing instruction to meet the needs of each individual student, and creating challenging activities consistent with the subject matter under study. Teachers will assess students throughout the year and varying the modes of instruction to the learning style of each student. Teachers will also be responsible for collaborating with other staff members, both within and outside their discipline/department. Experiential learning, project-based learning, blended learning, and learning portfolios are integral to SVA’s mission and vision to engage students in hands-on, minds-on learning. Substitute Teachers: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a regionally accredited four year college or university AND have completed the Basic Skills Requirement, or hold a substitute teaching permit: For more information regarding substitute criteria, please refer to: https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/leaflets/basic-skills-requirement-(cl-667)
