Responsibilities
The primary objection of this position is to work alongside the Senior Pricing Manager for Ryan Transportation in supporting existing and new customer opportunities.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis for LTL and TL bids
- Create LTL and TL scenarios, and determine optimal solutions based on cost and service
- Create information needed for new prospects, as well as existing customers
- Follow up with LTL and TL carriers to obtain rate submissions
- Prepare bid packages to carriers
- Coordinate with Pricing team, Operations, and Sales to provide information to carriers to complete bids
- Create and Analyze Transportation Service Provider’s KPI’s/Scorecards for internal and external distribution
- Attend Transportation Service Provider Business Reviews, presenting our scorecards/metrics on our business with the Transportation Service Provider
- Coordinate with carriers and Operations to resolve operational escalations
- Maintain Transportation Rates through physical and electronic systems
- Liaison between Procurement, Transportation Service Provider and Freight Audit/Pay division for invoicing disputes requiring escalation
- Provide assistance to compute, distribute and process amendments for weekly US diesel fuel adjustments
- Provide rates and transportation costs for quotations to ensure accurate data for team members
- Rate loading QC and assistance into Mercury Gate and other necessary RTS systems
Qualifications
- Experience in LTL and/or TL transportation
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Quick learner
- Ability to work independently and alongside team members in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Computer literate in Microsoft Suite, along with basic knowledge and understanding of PC applications. Data entry skills and experience required
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills to meet customer/company deadlines
- Ability to maintain a high level of detail, often under tight deadlines and competing priorities
