Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Prepare job sites by handling materials such as shingles, metal panels, flashing, and insulation.
• Support the setup of scaffolding, ladders, and safety equipment to ensure secure working conditions.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency throughout the day.
• Collaborate with team members on tasks such as framing, flashing installation, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and restoration work when needed.

Experience

• Prior construction site experience is preferred; familiarity with roofing projects is highly advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, and safety protocols is essential.
• Skills in related trades such as masonry, carpentry (including framing and trim), plumbing, welding, tile laying, or metal stud framing are a plus.
• Experience with heavy lifting tasks and working at heights demonstrates physical readiness for the role.
• Knowledge of schematics or technical drawings related to roofing or general construction enhances your effectiveness on site.
• A proactive attitude towards learning new skills like fabrication or restoration techniques will help you grow within our team.
