Job Summary
Shampoodles is a small family owned business that is looking for a skilled and caring Dog Groomer to join our calm, one-on-one grooming salon. If you love working with dogs in a low-stress environment and value quality over quantity, this may be the perfect fit. Groomers are paid 50% commission based on the groom price, 50% of all add-on services and receive 100% of both cash and card tips for the dogs they personally service.

Responsibilities
- Perform professional grooming services independently including bathing, trimming nails, styling, and ear cleaning for dogs of all breeds and sizes plus any add-ons selected
- Handle animals safely and gently, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work area/salon
- Assess the health condition of pets during grooming sessions and report any concerns to the pet owners/owners of salon and take pictures
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions
Requirements
- 3 years prior experience in pet grooming, and animal handling is required
- Animal handling skills with the ability to restrain safely and humanely
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting pets or supplies)
- Ability to groom independently from start to finish
- Must be reliable, compassionate, and dedicated to providing exceptional care for animals
- Must be seeking a long-term, professional salon to call home!
