Position Overview
Solete, located inside the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront, is seeking energetic, service-driven Servers to join our team. As a Server, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while supporting a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment.

What You’ll Do
Guest Service

Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience

Anticipate guest needs and ensure a positive and memorable visit
Order Taking & Menu Knowledge

Accurately take food and beverage orders

Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, cocktails, beer, wine, and specials

Make recommendations based on guest preferences
Service Execution

Deliver food and beverages efficiently and accurately

Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase sales

Monitor table maintenance, cleanliness, and overall dining room organization
Cash Handling & Transactions

Process cash and credit card payments accurately

Follow proper cash-handling procedures
Safety & Compliance

Adhere to all alcohol service laws and regulations
-
Verify guest identification to ensure legal drinking age
-
Refuse alcohol service professionally when required
-
Monitor alcohol consumption and use judgment in preventing over-service

Offer alternatives such as water or transportation assistance when necessary

Gain TIP certification within 3 months of hire

Participate in periodic pour tests to ensure accuracy

Follow all company policies and procedures

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred

Previous restaurant or hotel experience preferred but not required

Basic reading, writing, and math skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays

Must be available 3 PM – 11 PM shifts, including weekends and holidays
