In our ongoing commitment to excellence, we are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team and help us maintain the quality and safety of our properties.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be a key member of our team, ensuring our housing facilities remain well-maintained and comfortable for the people we serve. In this role, you will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, addressing everything from plumbing and electrical work to HVAC and carpentry. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing high-quality service in a meaningful way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs or safety hazards
• Perform various maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff, prioritizing urgent issues
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory
• Ensure all safety regulations and procedures are followed
• Assist with coordinating larger maintenance projects, such as renovations and upgrades
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency maintenance needs

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• MUST live withing 30 minutes of the Maine Office in Portland for on-call purposes.
• Previous experience in building maintenance or a related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of maintenance techniques and procedures
• Basic proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate, respectful attitude toward individuals living with mental illness
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks, including stooping, bending, and standing

Salary:

•  $25.10 per hour
