    • Short-term and long-term disability
    • Life insurance
    • Generous paid time off

What You’ll Do

Working alongside the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, you’ll play a key role in supporting the success of our residential programs—balancing hands-on clinical care with leadership and consultation.

Your focus will include:

  • Direct Client Service (35%) – Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic support
  • Consultation & Training (30%) – Guide staff and program managers with clinical insight and coaching
  • Clinical Documentation & Oversight (30%) – Ensure high-quality, compliant documentation and treatment planning
  • Additional Support (5%) – Participate in on-call rotation and agency initiatives

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual and group counseling aligned with treatment plans
  • Support staff through clinical challenges and crisis situations
  • Foster a structured, supportive therapeutic environment
  • Lead and coordinate clinical trainings and staff development
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external providers
  • Ensure accurate and compliant clinical documentation (including Medicaid standards)
  • Participate in case conferences, treatment meetings, and program planning
  • Step into program leadership roles when needed

What You Bring

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related mental health field
  • Licensure (or eligibility) for LCSW or LCPC in Maine
  • 4 years of relevant mental health experience preferred
  • Experience with co-occurring disorders (mental health & substance use) is a plus

You’re someone who:

  • Takes initiative and follows through
  • Balances independent work with strong teamwork
  • Communicates clearly and builds trust easily
  • Stays organized while managing multiple priorities
  • Brings both compassion and clinical confidence to your work

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Maine driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Flexible scheduling, including some evenings and on-call responsibilities
  • Work takes place in residential settings supporting adults with severe and persistent mental illness
