What You’ll Do
Working alongside the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, you’ll play a key role in supporting the success of our residential programs—balancing hands-on clinical care with leadership and consultation.
Your focus will include:
- Direct Client Service (35%) – Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and therapeutic support
- Consultation & Training (30%) – Guide staff and program managers with clinical insight and coaching
- Clinical Documentation & Oversight (30%) – Ensure high-quality, compliant documentation and treatment planning
- Additional Support (5%) – Participate in on-call rotation and agency initiatives
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group counseling aligned with treatment plans
- Support staff through clinical challenges and crisis situations
- Foster a structured, supportive therapeutic environment
- Lead and coordinate clinical trainings and staff development
- Collaborate with internal teams and external providers
- Ensure accurate and compliant clinical documentation (including Medicaid standards)
- Participate in case conferences, treatment meetings, and program planning
- Step into program leadership roles when needed
What You Bring
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or related mental health field
- Licensure (or eligibility) for LCSW or LCPC in Maine
- 4 years of relevant mental health experience preferred
- Experience with co-occurring disorders (mental health & substance use) is a plus

Additional Requirements:
- Valid Maine driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Work Environment & Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling, including some evenings and on-call responsibilities
- Work takes place in residential settings supporting adults with severe and persistent mental illness
