Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Support
- Provide direct nursing support and oversight to clinical staff as needed
- Ensure high-quality care and adherence to all state and federal regulations
- Assist with resident assessments, care planning, and follow-up
- Create, manage, and maintain staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
- Coordinate call-offs, replacements, and shift adjustments in real-time
- Monitor staffing levels daily and proactively address gaps
- Collaborate with leadership to reduce agency usage and overtime
- Ensure new hires receive a schedule upon completion of orientation
- Track attendance, tardiness, and scheduling patterns
- Serve as a point of contact for staff scheduling questions and concerns
- Maintain clear communication with nursing leadership and department heads
- Support employee engagement and retention through consistency and fairness in scheduling
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and reports
- Ensure compliance with staffing ratios and facility needs
- Assist with audits, surveys, and staffing documentation as needed
- Active LPN license in Virginia – Required
- 1 year of experience in long-term care or assisted living – Preferred
- Prior staffing/scheduling experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with scheduling systems and basic computer skills
