We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. - Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs and treatment plans
- Deliver individual, group, family, and pediatric counseling sessions focused on mental health issues such as PTSD, grief, addiction, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and chronic pain management
- Implement evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations effectively while ensuring client safety
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop case management strategies that support patient care continuity across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards; utilize CPT coding for billing purposes
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to enhance therapeutic techniques and improve patient outcomes
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist or equivalent in the respective state
- Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, or mental health services within outpatient or inpatient environments
- Demonstrated expertise working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, or special education populations
- Hands-on experience with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), medical terminology, and electronic health records (EHR) systems that ensure accurate medical documentation
- Experience providing telehealth services using secure platforms is preferred
- Knowledge of social work principles combined with skills in addiction counseling, grief counseling, psychopharmacology considerations, and gender issues counseling is advantageous
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments using diagnostic tools; skilled in behavior management strategies for diverse client needs
