Description:
Shakopee Public Schools is searching for a 1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute (LTS) - Special Education Resource Teacher to join the team at Sun Path Elementary School. Approximate assignment start date January 5, 2026 through March 27th, 2026.
Job Summary:
Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in a resource room setting, monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork; communicate effectively with families and staff; develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans, direct the work of paraprofessional(s).
Provides instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability, creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, works collaboratively with other staff members.

Salary can range anywhere between $51,000 to $120,813 depending upon education level and experience.
