Job Overview: We are seeking a contract- to -hire for a Health Information Systems Coordinator within our Health Information Systems department here at the SMSC. This project is guaranteed fulltime hours for 6 months. This position will focus on specific projects and tasks, following them through to completion while pulling in an additional resource, as necessary. Secondary focus is on day-to-day application and technology troubleshooting and problem solving.

Job Requirements:
Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job:
- Any combination of post-secondary education in Business, Information Technology or related IT field and experience with technical support of medical applications to equal 4 years.
- Must complete required NextGen EHR training within six months of hire.
- Must complete required NextGen ICS, EDR, and EPM training within one year of hire.
- Good computer skills to include but not limited to Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must hold and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. If not, CPR certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
- This position is subject to testing for drugs (THC included) & alcohol in accordance with the Federal Department of Transportation Regulations as well as the SMSC’s Drug / THC and Alcohol Policy.
- Capacity to handle and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
