Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Art Teacher role based in Shakopee, MN. The Art Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons that align with the school's curriculum. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, teaching various forms of art (such as painting, drawing, pottery and other art techniques), fostering creativity in the classroom, and ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students. The role may also involve organizing art displays or participating in school events.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Teaching and Art Education
- Experience with Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development
- Proficiency in Painting and other artistic techniques
- Ability to foster a creative and inclusive environment for diverse learners
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field
- Teaching license or certifications relevant to art education are preferred
