Fleet Maintenance Technician

The Fleet Maintenance Technician role is hands-on, detail-driven, and essential to keeping our trucks and trailers safe and road-ready. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to play a critical part in fleet safety and compliance. One minute you might be performing a scheduled PM service, the next you're diagnosing an electrical issue, replacing a brake component, or coordinating with an outside vendor on a specialized repair.

Working within our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for keeping our fleet of 60 vehicles and 200 trailers safe, compliant, and ready for service.

Schedule: Wednesday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some flexibility potentially available)

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) services on fleet vehicles (60) and trailers (200 )
• Complete brake repairs and replacements
• Repair and replace tires as needed
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure regulatory compliance
• Diagnose and repair trailer components
• Troubleshoot and repair lights, electrical systems, and wiring
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and trailer-related issues across all vehicle components
• Coordinate with outside vendors for major repairs and specialized services
• Accurately enter, document, and complete work orders in our maintenance software
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and perform basic data entry tasks
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards
• All other duties as assigned

Must-Haves

• Minimum of 3 years of truck and trailer maintenance experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to utilize fleet maintenance management software
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull maintenance equipment and parts
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various weather conditions as needed
• Ability to safely work around commercial vehicles and trailers

Nice-to-Haves

• 5 years of truck and trailer maintenance experience
• New York State Inspector License
• CDL Class A or B
• Access to indoor shop area (24'x112' onsite)

Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
