Hampton Academy is a private school for students with disabilities, ranging from First Grade through 12th grade. Hampton Academy provides educational and clinical support to students that suffer from anxiety, school avoidance/refusal, problems with social skills/building peer relationships, mood disorders and other socio-emotional concerns that interfere with their ability to fully function within a traditional academic setting. Hampton Academy provides clinical interventions in a supportive and trauma informed care learning environment for students from elementary to high school.
We are currently looking for a Part Time School Nurse for Hampton Academy. You will also be responsible for the following:
- Promotes good health
- Remains abreast of current developments in the health field through education and active participation in professional organization
- Cares for sick and injured pupils and arranges for appropriate course of action
- Administers medication and treatment when necessary for pupils who attend school
- Annually conducts screenings as mandated by NJAC 6:29-8.2
- Maintains student health records and reports to the Department of Health results of TB screening and immunizations status
- Attends staff training of Handle with Care procedures and UHS De-escalation
- Follows procedures and protocol as outlined in the Hampton Academy Staff Handbook and Policy Manual
- Participates in in-service training as directed; Performs other tasks as requested by the Executive Director and/or his/her designee

Job Requirements:
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey: BSN preferred.
- Certified as a School Nurse perferred, but not required
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in a school or psychiatric setting.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
