What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Services Manager position at SHAKER HEIGHTS PUBLIC LIBRARY?
Shaker Heights Public Library seeks a collaborative, creative manager to lead our Adult Services team. We are a busy, first-ring suburban library serving a diverse population. The Adult Services Manager develops, coordinates, and directs the library's service to Adults and community partners; oversees the development and maintenance of the various collections; and supervises the Main Library's Adult Services department in cooperation with the Branch Manager.

Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited school

Minimum of three years of professional library experience in adult services, with progressive levels of responsibility and supervision
Hours: Full-time, Exempt, 40 hours per week. This position works a variety of day, evening, and weekend hours
Salary range: $28.68-$35.14 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
Benefits: The library offers health, dental, and life insurance beginning on Day 1. As well as generous paid time off including vacation, sick, and holiday hours.
Pay Information: SHPL typically hires new staff in at the entry rate of the posted pay scale. Exceptions may be made for successful applicants who have significant (5 years) direct experience in the position at a level beyond what is expected of a new hire.
