About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) leads all outside sales and commercial leasing activities in the region, driving new business growth, increasing sales volume, and meeting targeted profitability.
This position is primarily office-based, with regular local travel and occasional air travel. A key component of this role is developing and strengthening the region’s sales team — including the recruitment, training, and coaching of Account Executives (AEs) and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs). The RSM partners with management to identify, pursue, and close fleet management and leasing opportunities with 10 unit potential, and personally meets with key accounts to deepen relationships and expand account penetration.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Provide daily oversight, guidance, and leadership to AEs and CSRs
- Hold weekly in-office sales meetings to review pipeline, performance, and goals
- Recruit, hire, and onboard top sales talent
- Coach and develop team members through ride-alongs, feedback, and targeted training
- Foster a culture of accountability, customer service excellence, and high performance
Business Development & Account Growth
- Identify and pursue new commercial lease and fleet management opportunities
- Support AEs in closing deals with new and existing customers
- Personally meet with all accounts and prospects with >10-unit potential
- Collaborate with regional leadership to refine and execute growth strategies
Risk & Operational Excellence
- Advise AEs on deal structure, non-core asset considerations, and credit processes
- Partner with Credit and Collections to reduce customer delinquency and enhance portfolio quality
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures for lease deliveries, terminations, and documentation
Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with corporate goals
- Identify target markets and build effective lead-generation initiatives
- Leverage CRM tools to manage leads, pipeline activity, and reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with other regional and national leaders to share best practices
- Review monthly reports to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Meet or exceed regional targets for deliveries, profitability, and sales growth
Qualifications
- 5 years of sales experience in fleet management, commercial leasing, automotive, equipment finance, or a related industry
- 2 years of leadership or sales team coaching experience preferred
- Proven track record of achieving revenue and profitability targets
- Strong understanding of commercial credit, lease structures, and asset management
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze data and inform decisions using CRM and reporting tools
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally with occasional air travel
