We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Principal who will lead with integrity, inspire students and staff, and advance the mission of our school.

Leadership & Vision

• Provide strategic leadership to promote the school’s mission and values.
• Foster an Islamic learning environment that integrates Qur’an, Sunnah, and academic excellence.
• Inspire staff, students, and parents toward continuous growth and achievement.

Academic & Instructional Oversight

• Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with state standards and Islamic values.
• Monitor and support teacher performance, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Use data-driven decision-making to track student achievement and improve instructional outcomes.

School Operations & Management

• Manage daily school operations including scheduling, student discipline, safety, and extracurricular activities.
• Ensure compliance with state educational regulations, accreditation requirements, and school policies.
• Oversee admissions, enrollment, and student services.
• Manage the school budget effectively and allocate resources to support student learning.

Community & Parent Engagement

• Serve as the primary liaison between the school, parents, and community partners.
• Communicate regularly and transparently with families regarding student progress, school programs, and initiatives.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and the broader Muslim community.

Staff & Faculty Development

• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified teachers and staff.
• Lead staff meetings, set performance expectations, and establish a culture of collaboration.
• Support and encourage continuous professional learning for faculty and staff.
  

Required:

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
• Valid school administrator/principal certification (or eligibility to obtain in Michigan).
• Minimum 3–5 years of successful teaching experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years of proven leadership or administrative experience.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the values and mission of Islamic education.

Preferred:

• Experience working in Islamic schools or faith-based education.
• Familiarity with Michigan Department of Education regulations and standards.
• Proven ability to foster parent and community engagement.
• Fluency in Arabic or knowledge of Qur’an recitation/memorization is a plus.
