Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Production, this role is essential to ensuring timely production, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting efficient operations across the production department. This position supports both sales and production through the sourcing, organization, and management of natural and lab-grown diamonds and gemstones for client projects and retail collections, with a focus on accuracy, quality, and alignment with design requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask effectively, and committed to upholding our brand’s quality and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head of Production in managing workflows, timelines, and project tracking
- Manage order fulfillment and ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule
- Perform daily in-person sourcing in the Diamond District, including procuring stones and managing vendor pickups and returns
- Serve as a key point of communication between external vendors and internal teams
- Collaborate with the sales team to support custom design requests, including stone sourcing and alignment on client timelines
- Maintain comprehensive and organized production records
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing pieces to uphold brand standards
- Drive improvements in production efficiency and lead times
- Maintain a working knowledge of jewelry production processes (setting, casting, finishing) to effectively support cross-team coordination
Qualifications
- 2–3 years experience in gemstone or diamond sourcing, jewelry production, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree or Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Degree preferred
- In-depth understanding of diamond and gemstone grading, qualities, and pricing
- Knowledge of jewelry production processes and materials is preferred
- Strong vendor network within the Diamond District
- Previous experience in operations, supply chain or logistics a plus
- Proficiency in Rhino / CAD a plus
- Proficiency with project management tools
- Exceptional organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently

Schedule:
- Full-time in-person role located in Soho NYC
- Monday to Friday
- 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the knowledge that we have a startup culture and your day may extend past listed hours
Salary Description:
The salary for this position is $65,000, not including discretionary bonus up to $20,000. Actual compensation may be higher based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s job duties, experience, and expertise. We will also consider higher level candidates and salary will be adjusted accordingly.
