Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare food items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and process payments with accuracy.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen stations, and food handling zones through regular bussing and sanitation practices.
- Assist in food preparation tasks including assembling meals, portioning ingredients, and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Support team members by managing time effectively during busy hours to ensure quick service delivery.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment operation to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation or working in a quick service & fast food restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient cashiering.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
- Previous restaurant experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
