Front End Crew Member

Job Summary: We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard working Front End Crew Members to join our amazing team here at our Thousand Oaks Location of Shahs Halal Food. Our restaurant brings the vibrant flavors of the streets of New York to your plate, blending traditional Halal food with rich Persian influences. Guests can customize their meal as they walk down a line of fresh, high-quality ingredients, including tender grilled meats, flavorsome spices, and vibrant veggies. As a Front End Crew Member, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining our creative work environment while also providing exceptional customer service.

In this role, you will be responsible for greeting guests as they enter the building and ultimately ushering them toward an incredible meal experience, by curating and crafting the perfect dish for our customers using our unique fresh ingredients to enjoy in-house or on the go. From Platters to Gyros, as a Front End Crew Member you will be responsible for the creation of dishes that bring a smile to our customers, while also placing an emphasis on guest interaction, ensuring each one of our customers have an incredible experience.

Duties:

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping to create their ideal meal option in each new interaction.
• Assist in guiding customers down the line of food options, helping them customize their ideal meal.
• Engage in promoting special offers and staff favorite dishes to enhance customer satisfaction on a personal level.
• Operate cash registers accurately, processing transactions efficiently while ensuring a positive checkout experience.
• Maintain organized stock levels of our different fresh ingredients, delegating time to restocking our counter of ingredients as needed throughout the day, helping to ensure product is never unavailable.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock assessments.
• Ensure the restaurant is clean, safe, and well-organized for both customers and team members.
• Support supervisory staff in day to day operations while helping maintain a clean work environment for our staff and customers.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous experience within Customer Service positions are preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members alike.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when needed.
• Strong listening skills and ability to prioritize the needs of customers in every given interaction.
• Bilingual applicants are highly desirable to better serve a diverse customer base.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including opening shifts in the mornings, closing shifts in the evenings and weekends as required by the restaurant's operational needs.
