What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at SHAH DEVELOPMENT LLC?
Shah Development has immediate openings for full time Heavy Equipment Operators.
Job Duties:
- Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant policies and procedures to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
- Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
- Practice workplace safety
- Maintain inventory
- Use equipment for snow removal
- Use equipment to level roads and ensure proper drainage
- Manual Labor- Dig ditches, work/service equipment, lifting in gross of 100 lbs. and any other manual labor as directed by supervisor
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license, unrestricted
- Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
- Knowledge of operation of front end loaders, dozers, graders, skid steers and other pieces of heavy equipment
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and storage
- Knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques
- Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
- Knowledge of record keeping system
- Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures
Required Skills:
- Ability to operate single and double axle trucks in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
