SHAH Development, LLC is seeking an experienced Excavation & Subdivision Development Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial subdivision development projects from planning through completion. This role is responsible for managing excavation operations, underground utility installation, grading, and overall project coordination while ensuring compliance with erosion and sediment control regulations and project schedules.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of subdivision infrastructure including water, sewer, and gas installation, along with experience managing crews, subcontractors, and timelines for large-scale earthwork and development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage excavation and subdivision development projects from start to finish
- Oversee installation of underground utilities including water, sewer, and gas systems for residential and commercial subdivisions
- Manage grading operations, elevations, and earthwork quantities including cut/fill and earth removal
- Interpret and work from civil engineering plans, site plans, and grading plans
- Ensure compliance with Erosion & Sediment Control (E&S) regulations and environmental requirements
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules and timelines to meet project milestones
- Coordinate with engineers, developers, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Create and monitor project budgets, production rates, and job costs
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Manage field crews and subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity
- Identify potential project risks and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and progress updates
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in excavation, site development, or subdivision construction management
- Strong knowledge of underground utility installation (water, sewer, gas)
- Experience with grading plans, elevations, and earthwork calculations
- Familiarity with Erosion & Sediment (E&S) control regulations and compliance
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and engineering plans
- Experience managing multiple projects, schedules, and crews simultaneously
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with project scheduling and construction management software preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in civil construction, heavy equipment operations, or earthwork management
- Experience working with developers and municipal inspection agencies
- OSHA safety training or similar certifications
Compensation:
- Salary Range - $90,000 to $110,000 per year (based on experience)
