What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agricultural Equiptment Workers position at SHAGBARK FARM, INC?
Manually plant, spray, weed, fertilize, harvest and prune, shrubs and trees using hand tools and gas powered
equipment. Operate tractors and other machinery to fertilize, cultivate, harvest and spray fields and plants. Inspect plants to detect insects or disease and inform employer. Harvesting full grown crops require digging and heavy lifting up to 75 lbs on a consistent basis throughout the day. Will maintain irrigation and fences. Due to health and safety concerns and operation of equipment on our farm, workers are required to have the ability to
comprehend simple instructions in English. While working in the field, cell phone usage is limited to emergency use only. Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of 3 months of verifiable experience in performing the tasks described in his order. Employer expects workers to pick up a minimum of 75 lbs. including tools and plant material.
Employees with a valid class D driver’s license may be requested to drive. Not all workers are requested to drive. No one will be rejected for the position that does not possess a driver’s license.
