Fuel Oil Delivery Driver - Seasonal

OIL DRIVER
Shaffer Beacon Mechanical LLC is accepting Oil Driver applications to make residential fuel oil deliveries full-time from September to March. We are seeking an experienced and professional driver who can provide safe, reliable, prompt and courteous delivery of fuel oil to private and commercial accounts.
Qualified Applicants will have:

• Valid Class A or B CDL drivers license and clean driving record
• Hazardous Material and Tank Endorsement
• Current Medical Certificate
• Ability to pull and roll up a fuel hose
• Ability to work outside in varying weather/driving conditions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to convey information to new and existing customers
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong mathematical skills necessary
• Prior fuel delivery experience preferred.

Minimum Qualifications: The seasonal oil driver position will primarily be responsible for home heating oil deliveries in accordance with Company safety procedures. Bonus Qualifications or Experience: Must be a motivated self starter; able to work with little or no supervision; ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English and perform basic mathematics. High School Diploma /GED and 3 years minimum experience required. Position is hourly and requires flexibility in schedule to meet seasonal demands. Shaffer Beacon Mechanical is a family owned Mechanical Contractor located in Bristol and Granby CT, servicing central Connecticut.
