Shady Nook Nursing and Rehab – Lawrenceburg, IN
Shady Nook Nursing and Rehab is seeking a passionate and energetic Activities Director to lead and oversee the Life Enrichment Program at our skilled nursing facility in Lawrenceburg, IN. This individual will plan, organize, implement, and evaluate a variety of activities designed to meet the emotional, social, and recreational needs of each resident.
Schedule:
Full-Time | Includes Evenings and Weekends
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate monthly activity calendars including movies, games, crafts, outings, and special events
Identify and support residents’ spiritual, emotional, and social needs through regular engagement and family input
Encourage participation in physical and educational activities to promote well-being and engagement
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure activity participation aligns with medical directives
Facilitate monthly resident council meetings
Manage resident shopping requests and assist in the smoking program as needed
Document resident participation and progress in PointClickCare (PCC)
Qualifications:
Certified Activity Director with prior long-term care experience preferred
Experience working under a Certified Activity Consultant is desirable
NCCAP certification or willingness to obtain through an Activity Director course required
