Medical Records/Central Supply must be a RN or LPN

.Organize, plan and manage the Medical Records Department in accordance with established policies and Procedures, including electronic medical records.

.Develop procedures to ensure records are properly completed, coded, signed, indexed, etc.

.Collect, assemble, check and file resident charts and records as required.

.Prepares folders and maintains records of newly admitted residents and discharge residents.

.Reviews medical records for completeness, assembles records in standard order, and files records in designated areas according to applicable alphabetic and numeric filling system.

.Ensure incomplete records/charts are returned to appropriate personnel for correction.

.Establish procedures to ensure charts/records are not removed from the designated area except as authorized.

.Collect and assemble/compile records for committee review as required, and prepare reports as directed.

.Organizes discharge and Medicare record charts.
