The work we do building families offers purpose, challenge, and personal reward—and we’re just getting started.Opportunity OverviewWe have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Washington, DC.Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:45 PM and 1to 2 holidays per yearCompensation: $20 to $23 per hour (commensurate with experience)This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.How You’ll ContributeAt US Fertility, collaboration is fundamental to how we work. Whether collaborating with more than 200 highly respected physicians nationwide or partnering with colleagues who are passionate about solving meaningful problems, you’ll be surrounded by a team committed to shared success.In this role, the Medical Assistant will:Perform high volume of phlebotomyMaintain supplies for the blood drawing stationsAssist with the clinical care of fertility patientsEnsure lab specimens are sent to proper labsProvide patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, communicates physician orders and instructionsProvide pre and post op educationPerform semen washes and sets up for IUIsTake vital signs and provide general clinical assistanceUtilize the computer in entering labs and printing labelsEstablish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients’ familiesWork independently to assure the program goals are achievedSupport and promote excellence in customer serviceWhat You’ll BringWe’re looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience—individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.Qualifications and Skills Include:Strong phlebotomy skills requiredHigh School diploma; Associates degree preferredCompletion of a formal MA programExcellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to work autonomously and in a team environmentStrong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy and speed with data entry is requiredMinimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminologyMore important than any single credential, however, is the right person.
