What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farming / Farm Store Associate position at Shadowbrook Farm?
This position involves operation of the Farm Store/ice cream stand, assistance in management of wholesale accounts, care for small animals in the barnyard, and other important barnyard duties. This individual is the “face” of the business, which requires a high level of professionalism, availability, and accountability.
Required Qualifications:
- A passion for all things farm related!
- Experience in a customer facing retail atmosphere
- A strong work ethic - Excellent communication skills
- A passion for all things food and cooking related
- Experience with animal husbandry
- Basic understanding of general farming practices
- Valid drivers license - Lift up to 60 lbs
- Bend, walk, and work in all elements
Highly Desired (but not required) Qualifications:
- Experience with farm tools and other small equipment
- Prior retail sales or customer service experience
- Associates/Bachelors degree in an agricultural related major
