We’re seeking a skilled HR Generalist who brings expertise, organization, and a client-focused mindset to our growing team.
Position Overview
The HR Generalist will support both clients and internal staff across a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, documentation, and policy development. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple client needs at once, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support & Communication
- Serve as the primary or secondary HR contact for assigned clients
- Provide clear, timely guidance on HR issues and employee matters
- Support client calls, meetings, and projects with accuracy and professionalism
Employee Relations & HR Guidance
- Assist clients with employee relations concerns
- Guide managers on proper documentation and communication
- Conduct basic fact-finding and follow-up as needed
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Support clients with onboarding, documentation, and compliance processes
- Assist with offboarding tasks, including exit interviews and required documentation
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure clients meet federal, state, and local HR compliance requirements
- Draft, revise, and maintain employee handbooks, policies, and SOPs
HR Administration
- Maintain HR files, trackers, and documentation in centralized systems
- Prepare reports, summaries, and updates for both clients and internal leadership
Project Support
- Assist with HR audits, handbook updates, job descriptions, and performance processes
- Help develop HR templates, forms, and best-practice tools
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 5 years of HR Generalist experience across multiple HR functions
- Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance
- Ability to support multiple clients or stakeholders at once
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical judgment
- Tech-savvy; comfortable with HRIS, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, etc.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in HR consulting or agency environments
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification (preferred but not required)
- Experience building policies, processes, or HR frameworks
