Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting and executing core HR functions at Mytikas Steel’s production facility. This role manages recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. The HR Generalist serves as a key partner to operations and leadership, helping to maintain a positive, compliant, and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer HR programs, policies, and procedures to support company objectives and employee satisfaction.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and onboarding.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
- Administer employee benefits, leaves, and other HR-related programs.
- Support performance management processes, employee evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with employee relations matters, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and compliance with labor regulations.
- Conduct new hire orientation and support training initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, OSHA, EEO, etc.).
- Collaborate with managers and leadership to promote employee engagement, retention, and safety culture.
Qualifications:
Education :- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required.
Experience:
- 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction-related environment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Paycom, ADP, BambooHR, or similar).
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare HR-related reports.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Certifications:
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification preferred. OSHA HR compliance training is a plus.
