Job Summary:

The Howick Operator - Mid Level (Journey) is a skilled role responsible for independently operating Howick steel framing machines to produce high-quality steel frame components and building supplies. The Journey Operator works with minimal supervision, performs routine maintenance, and ensures production efficiency while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Howick steel framing machines to produce accurate steel frame components and building supplies.
• Perform machine setup, calibration, and adjustments to ensure precision and minimize material waste.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fundamental operational issues to maintain smooth production processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure alignment with design specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and report issues to the Howick Operator Team Lead.
• Collaborate with production teams to meet project requirements and quality standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications :

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in mechanical technology or related field preferred.
• Experience : 2-3 years of experience in operating CNC machines or similar technology, preferably in steel framing or modular construction.
• Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in operating Howick steel framing machines or similar equipment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications: OSHA-approved forklift certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

• On-site at Mytikas Steel’s production facility in Florence, Colorado.
• Collaborative, production-driven environment with opportunities to guide Entry-Level operators.
• Requires adherence to safety standards and use of PPE.
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (40 hours total)
