Job Summary:

The Howick Operator - Entry Level (Apprentice) is an introductory role focused on learning the fundamentals of operating Howick steel framing machines. Under close supervision, the Apprentice will assist senior operators, develop skills in machine setup and operation, and build a foundation in reading basic blueprints and technical drawings. This role is ideal for individuals eager to start a career in machine operation for modular home and steel supply production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist senior operators in setting up and operating Howick steel framing machines.
• Learn to perform basic machine operations, including loading materials and monitoring production processes.
• Develop basic skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings for steel frame designs and building supplies.
• Support routine maintenance and cleaning of Howick machines to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Follow safety protocols and company standards to maintain a secure production environment.
• Collaborate with team members to learn production processes and contribute to team goals.

Qualifications :

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in mechanical technology or related fields is a plus.
• Experience: No prior experience required; familiarity with machinery or manufacturing is an advantage.
• Technical Skills
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machine operation.
  • Interest in operating CNC-based machinery or similar technology.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• C ertifications: None required; OSHA-approved forklift certification is a plus for warehouse operations.

Work Environment:

• On-site at Mytikas Steel’s production facility in Florence, Colorado.
• Fast-paced, collaborative environment with hands-on training and mentorship.
• Requires adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (40 hours total)
