The Housekeeper supports a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by maintaining resident rooms and shared spaces to established cleanliness and sanitation standards. This role executes daily cleaning routines, follows chemical and safety procedures, and responds to housekeeping needs in coordination with the housekeeping lead and site leadership. Success is measured by cleanliness scores, reliability, and consistent adherence to sanitation protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and shared/common areas using approved disinfectants and methods.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal.
- Restock linens and supplies; replenish toiletries and other assigned items per checklist.
- Maintain cleaning carts and storage areas in a neat, organized, and compliant condition.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper dilution, labeling, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns or safety hazards promptly (spills, broken fixtures, damaged furniture)
- Support other departments with light housekeeping duties as needed to meet operational demand.
- Document completed work or exceptions as required (checklists, logs, supervisor updates).
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete task checklists consistently.
- Comfortable performing physical work (standing, walking, bending, lifting, repetitive motion) in an active environment.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals safely and comply with sanitation procedures.
- Prior housekeeping experience in hospitality, healthcare, senior living, or similar environment.
- Familiarity with disinfecting practices and routine cleaning schedules.
- Onsite role in an active facility environment.
- Schedule set by the employer; may include weekends/holidays based on business needs.
- Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals (PPE and training provided per policy).
- Competitive hourly pay at $11.00/hour.
