Shademaster Nursery is seeking a team member that will be responsible for watering and maintaining plant material on site for purchase by retail and wholesale customers. Your attention to detail and friendly face will help create a welcoming environment for our customers. You will play a vital role in promoting our products while ensuring that the garden center is visually appealing.
This position is subject to inclement weather as we won't have you watering outdoors during a downpour. Plant knowledge is a plus but not required.
One hire is needed for our morning shift Monday through Friday approximately 8 am to 11 am and Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm.
Responsibilities
- Watering plant material on site
- Ability to work outdoors and stand for long periods of time.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs if necessary.
- Assist with unloading plant material and relocating to the proper area for display.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Attention to detail is paramount. Since you will be the one watering these plants, only you can see if a plant is struggling in the beginning and it will be up to you to notify staff so corrections can be made.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members.
