Design Drafter – Support Innovative Tensioned Fabric Structure Projects
Job Overview:

How You Will Make an Impact:
- Develop 2D CAD drafting and design support for complex shade structures.
- Draft and compose complete, accurate plan sets for client and engineering review.
- Coordinate with engineering, installation, and fabrication teams to integrate structural corrections and plan revisions.
- Generate detailed steel cut sheets to facilitate precise shop fabrication.
- Utilize 3D modeling techniques to assist in advanced design visualization.
- Conduct 3D laser measuring and assist with the formal permit submittal process.
- Maintain meticulous documentation to ensure all project deadlines are met.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience utilizing AutoCAD (2012 or newer).
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical specifications and structural drawings.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication skills necessary to collaborate with clients and professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple project timelines.
- Valid Driving License/Good Driving Record
- Reliable personal car/truck
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with 3D design software or advanced 3D modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat for document composition.
- Prior experience in a specialty construction or fabric structure environment.
