Position
The Packaging Floor Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining packaging machinery to ensure the efficient and accurate packaging of products according to company standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product, safety, and production goals.
This person is motivated, knows how to think on their feet and can work well either independently or collaboratively with others while maintaining a safe work environment.
This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely Operate a forklift
- Unload freight.
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following safety and quality protocols.
- Assist with material handling, including loading packaging materials and disposing of waste.
- Setting up, operating, and tending to various packaging machines (e.g., sealing, labeling, stacking, palletizing).
- Accurately label packages and prepare for shipping.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must be able to communicate, read and write in English.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be willing to submit a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- 1-year minimum forklift operating experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. comfortably and unassisted.
