Looking for a Power BI Developer some Business Analysis to work on a Contract Role (12 Months) =On-site at Tallahassee FL 32399 with a Direct Client (Govt.) = only on W2 (C2C would be 2nd preference).
Position Summary:
Florida Department is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer / Business Analyst to design and develop financial dashboards and reports as part of the Florida Project. The role will focus on replacing legacy financial reports with interactive Power BI dashboards and actionable business insights.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of Business Intelligence experience
- 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Strong SQL and T-SQL skills
- Experience with IBM Db2 databases
- Experience creating dashboards and paginated reports in Power BI
- Experience with financial data (General Ledger, Purchasing, Revenue)
- Knowledge of data warehousing, OLAP, and Star/Snowflake schema
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Apps, and Microsoft Teams
- Understanding of Agile/SCRUM
Preferred Skills:
- Oracle Database Data Warehouse
- ERP/Financial systems experience
- WebFOCUS and Mainframe FOCUS
- Mainframe flat files
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Power BI dashboards, dataflows, and paginated reports
- Convert WebFOCUS/Mainframe FOCUS queries to T-SQL
- Analyze and modernize existing financial reports
- Create database views and stored procedures with DBAs
- Automate data transformation and reduce Excel-based analysis
- Administer Power BI workspaces
- Train end users on Power BI reporting
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
