Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to support the maintenance, enhancement, and modernization of a regulatory tracking system (RTS) application. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining application stability, implementing bug fixes, developing enhancements, and supporting integrations with enterprise systems, including document management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support the RTS application to ensure operational continuity.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and performance issues.
- Develop enhancements and modifications to Oracle-based applications and databases.
- Support integration efforts between RTS and enterprise document management systems through web services.
- Create technical documentation, design documents, deployment plans, and implementation guides.
- Develop and execute test plans for application enhancements and fixes.
- Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and project stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions.
- Document code changes, enhancements, and deployment activities according to established standards.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing and supporting applications using Oracle Forms.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with TOAD and/or SQL*Plus.
- Strong experience with Oracle database development, including procedures, packages, triggers, and SQL programming.
- Demonstrated experience with object-oriented development methodologies.
- Experience working within a collaborative multi-developer environment.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting or working with RTS application components.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business users.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle 11g RDBMS.
- Experience integrating applications with web services.
- Knowledge of government agency processes, policies, and procedures.
- Experience with document management systems such as OnBase.
Additional Requirements
- Follow established application development standards and guidelines.
- Provide weekly status reports documenting modifications, enhancements, and testing activities.
- Create test plans and support user acceptance testing.
- Maintain detailed code documentation, including developer name, modification date, and purpose of changes.
- Participate in design reviews and provide mockups when required.
- Ensure all developed solutions are fully documented and transferable to the client organization.
