Position Title: Network Engineer
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Duration: Long-Term Contract
We are hiring an experienced Network Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise network infrastructure, cloud networking, wireless technologies, security, and troubleshooting within large-scale environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience working in large enterprise network environments (2,500 users)
- Strong hands-on experience with Aruba, Cisco, HP Aruba, ClearPass, and Airwave
- Experience with LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VeloCloud, and CradlePoint technologies
- Expertise in VPN technologies including IPSEC, DMVPN, and GETVPN
- Experience configuring and supporting Palo Alto and other Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
- Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud networking
- Experience with ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, VPC/VNet peering, and cloud firewalls
- Strong troubleshooting skills for QoS, jitter, latency, and VoIP environments
- Experience with Wireless Access Points, RF planning, Heat Maps, and interference troubleshooting
- Hands-on command-line configuration experience with Cisco, Aruba, and Linux systems
- Scripting experience with Python and PowerShell
- Ability to create technical documentation and cross-train team members
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Cacti, Nagios, SolarWinds, Wireshark, and IPERF
- Experience with Aruba Central Mobility Controllers
- Linux system administration experience
- Experience with Florida State Government projects
- Knowledge of MyFloridaNet (MFN2)
- Experience in criminal justice/public sector environments
- Experience with OBIS Modernization Projects
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
