Job Description
The Client is seeking an experienced Applications Architect to design, implement, and support a secure, enterprise-scale multi-cloud environment utilizing Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The consultant will support the Client’s Enterprise Data and Analytics Platform (EDAP) and be responsible for architecture design, infrastructure automation, security compliance, and operational excellence across cloud and on-premises environments.
This role requires strong expertise in cloud architecture, networking, identity and access management, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and data platform integrations, with experience working in highly regulated environments.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and administering enterprise-scale cloud environments in Azure and AWS, including system architecture, security configuration, and maintenance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an enterprise administrator supporting on-premises Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing Azure Entra ID (Azure AD) and AWS IAM, including RBAC, policy design, and secure federation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing and maintaining multi-cloud environments.
- Minimum 5 years of experience architecting and managing IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions in Azure and AWS.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing and managing cloud networking, including VNETs, subnets, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Direct Connect.
- Minimum 5 years of experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment and automation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Informatica, and Dataiku.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with cloud cost optimization, tagging strategies, and chargeback/showback models.
- Minimum 5 years of experience implementing identity, access, and policy management in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Minimum 5 years of experience using Terraform or equivalent IaC tools.
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting disaster recovery, high availability, and security compliance aligned with HIPAA, NIST, and applicable regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and document server and cloud platform requirements in a multi-cloud (Azure & AWS) environment.
- Perform daily monitoring, health checks, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Terraform-based automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and support secure network connectivity, including VPNs, firewalls, ExpressRoute, and Direct Connect.
- Integrate and support data and analytics platforms ensuring proper security, interoperability, and access control.
- Monitor and optimize cloud costs, performance, and storage, implementing governance and tagging standards.
- Implement security baselines, including encryption, identity protection, key management, and RBAC.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, data, analytics, and development teams to modernize and migrate workloads.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and provide knowledge transfer.
- Provide status reports, participate in meetings, and support change management and governance processes.
- Ensure strict adherence to data security and confidentiality policies.
