SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift,
Position Summary
Perform and provide secretarial and professional assistance to the director and staff of Pearlman Comprehensive Cancer Center. Greet visitors, answer phone and directing calls to appropriate persons. Receive and disseminate information as appropriate. Prepares correspondence, generates reports as required, and relieves other clerical staff members as needed. Assists with special projects. Documents interdepartmental communications to promote an effective flow of information. Function as recorder for departmental meetings. Promotes team spirit and excellence.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Outpatient clinical area with access to patient areas and physician offices. Work activities will include: light lifting (not to exceed 25 pounds), walking sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, and pushing objects. Works in areas where blood and body fluids may be present and exposure to infectious disease is a risk

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Two years of previous clerical experience preferred.
- Prefer at least 2 years education in Business Management, Business Office Technology, or related field.
- Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.).
- Demonstrate the ability to establish and meet deadlines; ability to recognize and communicate the need to adjust workload when necessary to complete tasks.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a high demand environment.
- Ability to compose letters and to organize other information and/or department correspondence.
- Effective telephone, customer relations, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow directives and follow thru to completion project assignments.
