DEPARTMENT: AR - LANGDALE RESIDENCE SERVICES
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8am to 5pm
Position Summary
Responsible for the planning and implementation of activities for residents. Designs programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment, and improve daily living skills. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Supervises the work of the Transportation Staff and Beauticians. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Physical Requirements: Position requires ability to occasionally lift objects heavier than 25 pounds; have hand-eye coordination skills; sit for prolonged periods of time, be able to see small items. Position requires ability to concentrate on fine details of their work. Position requires ability to complete work timely and accurately due to the deadlines and regulatory requirements. Individuals should have good communication skills both verbally and in writing. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, it is possible that requirements may be modified to reasonably accommodate disabled individual. However, no accommodations will be made which may pose serious health or safety risks to the employee or others.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Working knowledge of therapeutic recreation/activities practice. Activity Director Certification preferred
- 16 Hours Annual Inservice Training require by Department of Community Health.
- CPR & First Aid is required.
- Specific training for new or updated services/equipment relating to job requirements.
- Technical/Clinical skill competencies completed annually.
