We are seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our team during the upcoming tax season. This position is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys preparing high-quality returns, managing multiple priorities, and working as part of a collaborative team. Most of the work is performed behind the scenes, with occasional client communication as needed.

What You'll Do

• Prepare individual federal and state income tax returns, including Forms 1040 and 1041
• Prepare returns involving Schedules A, C, D, and E
• Meet with clients to collect tax information and review completed returns
• Assist clients with tax-related questions and requests
• Prepare extensions, estimated tax payments, and tax projections
• Gather and maintain supporting tax documentation
• Deliver exceptional client service throughout tax season

What We're Looking For

• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation
• 3 years of individual tax preparation experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, compliance requirements, and tax preparation procedures
• Experience meeting directly with clients and discussing tax matters
• Experience with trust, partnership, or amended returns is a plus
• ProSeries experience is a plus
• Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in our Buffalo Grove office during tax season
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
