Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility team. Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and software to schedule and document work.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage components, utilizing multimeters such as ammeters and ohmmeters to diagnose faults accurately.
- Repair mechanical systems involving hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (including welding), and precision measuring instruments to ensure machinery operates at peak performance.
- Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely for maintenance tasks at elevated heights.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to facilitate effective repairs and installations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with team members on troubleshooting complex issues involving industrial mechanics, electrical systems, or manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
- Support safety initiatives by adhering to lockout/tagout procedures and ensuring all work complies with industry safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in hydraulics, welding (including welding), HVAC/R systems, and industrial electrician skills.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and control systems used in manufacturing processes.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments effectively.
- Experience working with CMMS software for work order management and documentation.
- Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage electrical systems; industrial electrician experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate field service equipment like scissor lifts safely; valid certification preferred.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with strong customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external vendors.
- Prior military experience or background in industrial mechanics is a plus but not required.
