Senior Network and Systems Manger

SGI Global is seeking a Senior Network and Systems Manager to maintain, enhance, and manage information technology and the stand-alone secret local area network supporting USSOCOM J8-S. This role provides on-site facilities management, network administration, helpdesk support, information assurance, and support for maintaining certification, accreditation, and Authority to Operate for J8-S networks and applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as Baseline and Privileged Use certified IAT Level II in accordance with applicable DoD and USSOCOM guidance
• Maintain, enhance, and manage information technology and the stand-alone secret LAN
• Provide on-site facilities management to manage and operate J8-S automated data processing systems
• Implement and maintain access and security control of the J8-S LAN
• Set up and configure network servers, implement backup and recovery methodologies, add and remove users, and maintain security permissions
• Install operating system software on servers and desktops and update software patches and release upgrades
• Perform all aspects of Information Assurance and maintain LAN certification and accreditation for Secret and ACCM material
• Make changes as required to each server and desktop system to meet DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides
• Ensure Authority to Operate for the LAN is maintained and current
• Troubleshoot and remedy system issues and ensure 95% network availability during duty hours
• Maintain user data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity
• Conduct performance monitoring and analyze system usage and impact
• Assist in development and design of audio-visual requirements to meet J8-S mission needs
• Manage software licensing and maintenance and maintain equipment inventory
• Provide helpdesk functionality and day-to-day assistance to users, including unlocking accounts, changing passwords, and helping users with logon issues or system problems
• Monitor systems and take corrective action as required
• Support USSOCOM acquisition, life cycle, and operations support for equipment and software through implementation of configuration management and five-year systems plans
• Employ Information Assurance to ensure the Network Suite System and Network System are maintained in accordance with DoD standards
• Support activities necessary to maintain accreditation and Authority to Operate of the J8-S networks and applications

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen.
• 7 years of experience in design and maintenance/support of network and its users to include all servers, thick and thin clients, network storage devices, and hubs; network hardware support and security
• 3 years of experience (can be concurrent with the 7 years above) with administering military LAN systems.
• Baseline and Privileged Use Certified Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I; IAT Level II must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• 3 years of experience (can be concurrent with the 7 years above) integrating data sources, and application development in and/or migration to cloud environments.
• Top Secret Clearance desired but must possess a current DoD Secret clearance and be upgradable to Top Secret within 4 months and eligible for SCI access and ACCM read-on.
