Senior Accountant

Location: San Ramon, CA, USA

Pay Rate: 60-72 USD/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Review payroll data to ensure accurate postings to the general ledger.
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts (wages, taxes, benefits and deductions) on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and record journal entries for payroll expense, accruals and adjustments.
• Assist in month-end and year end close activities related to payroll accounts.
• Prepare and record journal entries for commission and bonus.
• Reconcile commission and bonus accounts.
• Partner with HR, Payroll teams and FP&A team to validate payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
• Support audits by providing payroll GL documentation and reconciliations.

Skills:

• Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle Fusion).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet tight deadlines.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferable in a large organization.
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
